Mamas Kitchen San Diego strives to provide nutritional support to San Diego residents at risk of malnutrition due to critical illnesses such as HIV, cancer, congestive heart failure, type 2 diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. Together with hundreds of volunteers, businesses, and community supporters, Mama’s Kitchen strives to help clients stay healthy, preserve their dignity, and keep their families together by providing medically tailored home-delivered meals and nutrition education – all at no cost.
Canton Challenger Baseball – Little League Challenger Program
The Little League® Challenger Program was founded in 1989 and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate.
There are over 950 Challenger programs in ten countries, with more than 30,000 athletes participating every year. The Canton League is the largest in the state of Ohio, currently fielding nine regular division teams and four senior division teams. The Canton league averages 150+ boys and girls.
For more than six decades, Central Catholic in Canton, Ohio, has strived to live its mission – to develop in our students, faith, academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to service and social justice. With a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, approximately 95% of each graduating class attends college. Our academic program helps students far exceed the state and national percentiles on the ACT, SAT, and AP tests.
